Unit 3 Work

Image
(P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, M1) Here is my Campaign Proposal for the City of Culture for Liverpool: Unit 3 Proposal  - I have expanded on this based on feedback given to me via a 'SurveyMonkey' survey sent to a focus group.  Type of proposal - My proposal is for an audio-visual/ website advertisement for Liverpool focused mainly on fashion and the elements of it in Liverpool.  Form and Genre - My proposal will be an audio-visual advertisement that will include numerous codes and conventions including text to annotate the point that I'm trying to get across.  (M2, M3) My audio-visual campaign will include: Royalty-Free Music - This will help me to avoid any form of legal repercussions as it is free to use music and I cannot be sued for using it without permission. For example,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzPBeLIZDxU  - this is royalty-free music and it can be used by anyone without having to pay for it.  Clips that I have filmed - This will also help me avoid any legal rep

LO2. 2.2 - SWOT Analysis & The Apprenticeship Route

Image
SWOT Analysis Strengths   My digital media blog has strengths such as showing off all the work that I've completed during and outside of the time of my Digital Media extended certificate. It showcases the things that I'm good at and what I enjoy doing (e.g. videography and editing images) with many examples of these things - my blog also shows my attempts, fails and successes, of creating different things which shows the progression as improvements are made on key elements that can be changed for the better. Blogs can also be commented with feedback or criticism which can be improved and touched upon.  Weaknesses   However, some of the work completed may not currently be up to the best of its standard but as there is a lot of work completed, sometimes is it difficult to go back to exact pieces of work and to reflect on them.  Opportunities The opportunities of a digital media blog would be that possible future employer could possibly see the online digital media blogs, enjoy/ l

LO1. 1.4 - Repurposing

Image
Repurposing Repurposing is using something (e.g. a picture, a video, a song etc) and reusing it so that it is different from the original purpose - for example, using an image that is originally used for a visual campaign and repurposing it for a promotional piece for a video game. I have previously repurposed an image which I have taken for photography purposes and used it for an advertising campaign. Below is an example of an image which I have repurposed. Originally it was an image which I had taken purely for photography purposes but I then realised that it would also work well as a promotional piece after I cropped it and edited it.  File formats https://fileinfo.com/filetypes/common   - This website is a useful way to learn about all the different file formats. I have had to look at this website when I was creating pieces and deciding which file format fit best - for example, the above image is a .jpg file (originally it was a .psd file).

LO1. 1.1 What is a personal media profile?

What is a personal media profile? A personal media profile is another form of a digital media portfolio, but rather than just showcasing content, it may well contain testimonials, blogs or experiences which are relevant to the sector that the profile is aimed at. A social media profile relates to having a Facebook, Instagram etc. profile, which in this context relates to personal and social content, with no reference to employment purposes.  A digital portfolio is online , or even a portfolio of work on a DVD. It could contain a showreel, or simply pieces of work in an electronic format. Why do I need a personal media profile for a digital media extended certificate coursework? What are the benefits of having a media profile? A digital portfolio is a collection of digital evidence and works collected and managed by the person who has created the blog, usually on the internet. This evidence may include text, files, images, multimedia, blog entries and hyperlinks.  This is a good examp
